Mixed Nuts

Well, I've got out of the habit of writing., so what's happened?

Rugby: Wales did their tetra-annual collapse to a team allegedly far below them. Why are we surprised? Because we care.

Work: In a mad week, a advert for 7 Project Managers came out. I went for it with 2 of the girls. They made the assessment, I didn't. In hindsight, I think I seriously screwed up the application and didn't provide evrything, which leads to automatic disqualification. Gutted. Since then, said 2 girlies have been waxing lyrical aout how much they are going to earn, what benefits they will have and generally ramming it down our throats. I don't know whether to wish them ill, so we can laugh or wish them well because then they're history. It's a sad state if affairs, but I think they've been bloody onconsiderate and my MP3 player is a very handy tool at present when thebullshit starts.

Book: Book1 , the Turn of the Wheel. A novel about a Cardiganshire lead miner. It's with a publisher. Apparently they've got the critique and are discussing it at the next board meeting. I did the cardinal sin of sending a query mail after 3 months of silence. I hope it doesn't make me pushy. I don't know what to think. I know what I want... Oh well.

Short Stories: A few more written. Entered three recently into HE Bates competition. Run out of ideas for a mo and I want to concentrate on bringing together Book 4, so I can move on to Book 5!

Home: We're about to go away again, for a week in Holland. Hope to see friends while we are there. Evelin has managed to bounce herself off a trampoline and fracture a metatarsal bone, she's been bouncing on one leg for 3 weeks now with the other in a lurid pink cast. it's been noisy. Like Garteh, who like all good nearly 2yo, climbs, walks, runs and bumps into everything that he can. I love his little mournful waves goodbye in the morning and how he rushes to be hugged at night. Perhaps I should forget the Project Management - 7 extra hours a week, travel, mobile on all the time. I'd not see that too often else. Aile has subscried to a book-keeping course also.

Other: Been asked to be Best Man for ifan, a very old friend. Yikes!
Railway comes along slowly, but with warped boards, I need to solder some electric wires to the rail sides in places to stop me having to pushdown the track to get conduction!
Oh and the boiler nearly packed in. that's 3k down the drain - but then hey! Maybe a new boiler wouldn't bubble and squeak in the morning and evening! More later, a bit more regular next time
